Mercer law students spruce up Macon home
Nearly 30 Mercer law students surrounded a Finsbury Drive house for four hours doing yard work, small repairs and painting.
The law students took part in their annual collaboration with “Rebuilding Macon” Saturday.
“Rebuild Macon” is a non-profit organization which refurbishes homes of elderly and disabled Bibb county residents.
“This particular lady is a foster parent and that was something we felt was very special. We wanted to help her out,” says Mercer University School Student Bar Association President, Stephen Swinson.
As part of the collaboration between Mercer University Law School and “Rebuilding Macon,” law school students volunteer their labor and “Rebuilding Macon” pays for all of the supplies needed to refurbish the homes.
