Mercer Football Finalizes 2013 Recruiting Class, Two Middle Georgia Players Sign
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – In just more than three months, Mercer University’s football program will kick off its first season since 1941.
Head coach Bobby Lamb recently announced the addition of his 2013 recruiting class.
According to a release from the school, Lamb signed 32 athletes. The class adds some depth at all positions, but the team will still be young heading into its first season of competition.
Two of the new players are from middle Georgia. Linebacker C.J. Kleckley, from Rutland, will join the Bears along with Tattnall’s Tyler Ward, another linebacker.
In all, 18 players will join the team from Georgia.
Mercer kicks off its season at home against Reinhardt on August 31.
