Meet the Finalists for Perry’s New Police Chief
PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The search for Perry’s new police chief is down to two finalists: J.T. Ricketson and Steve Lynn.
41 NBC caught up with Ricketson at the GBI office in Milledgeville. He is currently the special agent in charge of the Middle Georgia Regional Drug Enforcement Office. He says he has almost 30 years of experience working with the GBI and that includes working in the field and in leadership roles.
Ricketson says he’s the man for the job because he has years of experience and exposure working complicated cases and with several difference law enforcement agencies.
“The view that I have is on a broader scale,” Ricketson said. “I’ve worked with police departments, sheriff’s departments, I’ve worked with pretty much all the federal agencies that work in this state. I have a lot of experience working and coordinating cases.”
41 NBC reached out to Lynn but he declined to comment. He is an investigator with the Houston County District Attorney’s office. According to the DA’s website, Lynn has nearly thirty years experience in military police and civilian police matters, including twenty six years with the Warner Robins Police Department.
