Medical Monday: 3D Mammograms

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – 3D Mammograms are the latest technology when it comes to detecting breast cancer.

Dr. Thomas Oliver is a radiologist at Coliseum Health Systems.

He says 3D is much better than 2D because doctors can detect breast cancer earlier.

Even when the cancerous cells are small, the 3D system can let doctors know there’s a problem.
