Medical Center, Navicent Health named second best hospital in the state

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Health Grove’s has named Medical Center, Navicent Health the second best hospital in the state. It ranks below Emory University Hospital of Atlanta.

MCNH Officials said the research engine used information from the following areas to compile its list:

• Medicare performance scores
• Number of cases per year
• U.S. News & World Report ranking
• Lowest mortality rates related to pneumonia, heart attack and heart failure
• Lowest rates of catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI)
