Macon-Bibb County Economic Opportunity Council, Inc. to host Job Fair Saturday

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – It’s time to put on your business causal best, because Macon-Bibb County Economic Opportunity Council, Inc. is holding a job fair this Saturday as part of its recruitment efforts.

They are hiring for a wide variety of head, early head start and other education-related positions. The job fair will include in-person interviews. Applicants should bring up-to-date resumes with updated contact information and format their resume to the position they are applying for, adding relevant qualifications and experience.

Full and part-time positions are available with various benefits.

“We are short on teaching staff,” Early Head Start Director Jacquice Jones said. “We’re looking for teachers, teacher assistants, early head start teachers, floaters. We want to make sure that quality staff comes in to educate our children.”

“We’re also looking for some part-time staff that help out in the classroom,” MBEOC Director of Administration Amber Pool said. “So, even if you’re just looking for something part time from two or three hours per day, we do have some positions available that would fit that criteria.”

The job fair will be this Saturday, August 24, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 456 Bay Street in Macon.
