MBCTA launches free news subscription service for riders

The transit authority encourages residents to sign up for the free service and share the subscription link with family and friends.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon-Bibb County Transit Authority has launched a free news subscription service designed to provide riders and the public with real-time updates about transit operations and services.

According to the MBCTA, the subscription service will allow users to receive updates about service changes, holiday schedules, route information, public meetings, accessibility notices and Rapid Transit updates. Community announcements and other transit-related news will also be shared through the service.

Transit officials said the goal is to make information easier for riders and the community to access as they make daily travel plans and decisions.

The MBCTA said the service can also help community partners, elected officials and local organizations stay informed about transit operations throughout Macon-Bibb County.
