Mayor’s Office Announces Free Tax Preparation Days
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Tax day is getting closer and closer, and local organizations want to help you get the most out of your hard earned money.
The City of Macon, United Way and the IRS are announcing free tax prep services along with an entire day devoted to getting your taxes ready. The effort is part of a national tax credit outreach campaign, aimed at helping people claim their credits and get the biggest refund they can.
“The mayor’s office wanted to raise awareness of these credits, and by working with our community partners, also let people know that there are organizations here locally that offer free tax preparation assistance by IRS certified people,” says Chris Floore, spokesperson for Mayor Reichert.
If you would like to know how you can get the most money back, the first in a series of Super Saturday Tax Preparation Days will be held this Saturday at the Buck Melton Community Center in Macon from 12:30-4:30.
