Mascot ‘Hearty’ spreads love on Valentine’s Day

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Cupid’s arrow delivered love and joy to nearly one hundred hearts across Macon and Warner Robins on Valentine’s Day.

Lanise Floyd and her two daughters, ages 11 and 7, have owned a mascot business for more than five years. “We are here to spread love throughout the year!” Floyd said.
Dr. Kenya Miller, the assistant principal at Burdell-Hunt Elementary School, was among those who received a heartwarming surprise from her students and colleagues.
“I just felt an abundance of love and a whole lot of peace today,” she said.
Dr. Miller was visibly touched by the surprise. She spoke about he importance of symbols of love, saying that even though the word ‘love’ is not always said, it is expressed through actions and symbols like “Hearty.”
“It just lets me know that I’m doing the right work, that I’m helping them and making a difference,” she said.
Another touching moment captured Friday was when Patrick Stephens II surprised his wife, Princess Stephens, outside Atrium Health Navicent while she was on a lunch break. The couple has been married for eight years and shared their heartfelt advice for lasting relationships: patience, communication and unconditional love through life’s ups and downs.
