Mary Persons Sweeps Upson-Lee to Advance to the Elite Eight
The 19-14 Mary Persons Bulldogs Baseball Team Defeated the Upson-Lee Knights in the second round of the GHSA AAA State Baseball Championships
FORSYTH, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – On Thursday, the Mary Persons Bulldogs swept the Upson-Lee Knights at home in the second round of the GHSA Class AAA State Baseball Championships with a 13-2 win in Game one and a 14-1 win in game two, to advance to the Elite Eight.
The Bulldogs will head to Fort Valley Wednesday to take on the 30-2 Peach County Trojans, after they swept their second round series with region opponent Bainbridge.
