Marshallville Mayor Bill Massee dies

MARSHALLVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Marshallville Mayor Bill Massee has died.

According to Macon County deputy Coroner Kenny Welch, the 71-year-old mayor died Tuesday morning. The cause of his death is unknown at this time.

The city of Marshallville’s website says Massee has been in politics for the past 20 years.

A spokeswoman from city hall says Adeline Felton will serve as mayor pro-tem.
