Marines ‘Fill the Truck’ for Toys for Tots

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A lot of people were in the giving spirit this weekend, donating toys, money and coats for needy kids.

For one day only, the Salvation Army partnered with Walmart and Toys for Tots, encouraging people to “fill the truck”. Marines stood outside of the Walmart on Zebulon Road and handed out “wish lists”. Shoppers were asked to buy at least one item to help fill the truck with toys.

Once the truck was filled, it was taken to warehouse to be delivered just in time for Christmas.

Don’t forget, 41 NBC is an official drop-off point for Toys for Tots. We are asking you to bring new, unwrapped toys. Just stop by 41 NBC’s studio in downtown Macon located at 301 Poplar Street during normal busines hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
