March for Babies Kick-Off Event

Middle Georgia parents, organizations and businesses all teamed up today for a kickoff to the March for Babies event. The actual walk isn’t until April, but everyone met today, to start raising awareness for the March of Dimes across Middle Georgia. March of Dimes helps bring awareness to premature births, and provides care for babies born too early. But as one mom points out, the walk isn’t just about raising money.

Sherrie Jefferson is the 2011 March for Babies mom. She says, “it’s to go around and get a lot more people involved in the March of Dimes, and what it’s really about. Because I come in contact with so many people that are not aware of what the March of Dimes, March for Babies, really does for America.” The march will be on saturday, April 16th at the Ocmulgee National Monument.
