Manhunt for Shooting and Armed Robbery Suspect
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man they “described as armed and dangerous.”
According to Bibb County Sheriff’s spokesperson, Sean Defoe 20-year-old Michael Lofton is wanted for shooting Assad Butler and taking off in Butler’s car.
The incident happened around 4:30p.m., Thursday at the Colony West Apartments, located at 5284 Bloomfield Road.
Butler, who is also 20-years-old, told Bibb County sheriff’s investigators, he was sitting in his car in the apartment complex’s parking lot when Lofton approached him waving a gun. The two men struggled and Butler was shot in the leg. Lofton then, sped off in Butler’s Honda Accord.
Police are looking for a silver, 2000 Honda Accord, with license plate PJ14300.
