MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left a 26-year-old man injured early Monday morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded just before 1 a.m. to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard after hospital police reported that a man arrived at a local medical facility by private vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound.

Medical staff said the victim was listed in stable condition.

When deputies arrived at the reported scene, they discovered multiple vehicles with damage consistent with gunfire.

Investigators have not released details about a suspect or what led to the shooting.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation, and no additional information has been released.
