Man Shot in Macon Home Invasion

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Macon police officers responded to a home invasion Thursday evening just before 10:30.

The victim told officers he was approached by two males while walking on Smith Street. According to the victim, the men demanded that he “give it up” and coerced him to take them to his residence on the 700 block of Smith Street.

After the victim and a female inside the home were robbed at gunpoint, the suspects demanded that the victim break into the home next door. The victim refused, resulting in a fight.

According to a news release, when the victim attempted to flee from the two men, one of the suspects fired multiple shots and struck the victim in the thigh.
