UPDATE: Man arrested in west Macon convenience store shooting
UPDATE: 40 year old Calvin Stapleton turned himself in Monday afternoon just before 12:45 p.m.
He’s charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, criminal street gang activity and a probation violation.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s office says Stapleton and Taylor were arguing in the parking lot of the store.
Taylor walked away and Stapleton pulled out a gun and shot him in the head, then ran off.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man was shot Monday afternoon at a convenience store in Macon.
He has been identified as 39-year-old Andre Taylor of Macon.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a person shot after 12:45 p.m. at MM Gas and Food Mart located at 2760 Montpelier Avenue.
When deputies arrived, they found Taylor with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to Medical Center, Navicent Health for treatment.
His condition has been listed as critical.
