Man robs cash register at Macon Sonic

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man wanted for robbing a fast food restaurant.

Investigators say the incident happened Friday, December 12 around 9 p.m. at the Sonic located at 3837 Mercer University Drive.

According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, a man entered the restaurant and approached the manager before grabbing an undisclosed amount of money out of the manager’s hand and out of the cash register.

The man is described as 5’8″ and weighs around 140 pounds. Authorities say he ran away from the store. He was wearing a black overcoat, black hood, dark pants and blue gloves.

No one was injured.
