Man Robbed in West Bibb County

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man was robbed at gunpoint early Friday morning at the Murphy USA gas station located at 6040 Harrison Road.

John Lee, a 56-year-old Sun City Center, Florida native was buying gas at 3:42 a.m. when he was approached by two men, one of which was carrying a gun.

The men demanded money and after Lee gave them an undisclosed amount, they took his car and drove away. No one was injured and Bibb Sheriff Deputies found Lee’s car abandoned with the engine running less than a mile away at the Chambers Cove Apartment Complex.

The Bibb Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the personal armed robbery and looking for the two suspects. The men are described as young black males with slender builds. One was wearing a black hooded jacket and the other was wearing a blue jean jacket. Both had bandanas over their faces.
