Bibb County deputies investigate fatal shooting of 21-year-old on Majestic Lane

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Thursday night on Majestic Lane.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 21-year-old man is dead after a fatal shooting Thursday night, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting happened just after 11 p.m. June 26 in the 3300 block of Majestic Lane, according to a news release.

Deputies responded to a report of a person shot and found 21-year-old Couri Woodford Jr. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley. His next of kin has been notified. According to the sheriff’s office, Woodford was a brother of one of Williams children. The sheriff’s office confirmed that Woodford was not the son of Williams.

43-year-old Pierre Rodriquez Williams. He was taken into custody in connection with the shooting. He has been charged with murder.
