Man injured during shooting at Macon Garden Apartments

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for the person who shot a man in the head at the Macon Garden Apartments.

It happened around 9 p.m. Saturday behind the apartment complex on Mercer University Drive.

Deputies tell 41NBC there was an outdoor party at the complex. During the party, a fight broke out and shots were fired. A bullet hit 23-year-old Tyrell Jackson as he was walking between two buildings. He is in the hospital in stable condition.

Investigators are interviewing witnesses and working to identify the people involved in the fight.
