WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man was indicted Tuesday for the 1994 murder of a Warner Robins woman.

According to Houston County District Attorney George Hartwig, a grand jury formally charged 45-year-old Homer Ridley II of Warner Robins with the murder of Summer Gleaton. He’s facing three charges: one count of malice murder and two counts of felony murder.

Hartwig tells 41NBC, Gleaton was found murdered in her home on Terry Street on December 1, 1994. She was 20-years-old at the time of her death.

“I want to commend Warner Robins Police Department for never giving up and continuing to investigate this murder,” Hartwig said in a statement. “While this indictment is merely the beginning of the prosecution process, the District Attorney’s Office will work diligently to move this case forward and prepare for trial.”

According to the Georgia Department of Corrections, Ridley was sentenced to life in prison for a rape charge in Houston County in 1988. He was incarcerated in July 1995.
