Man hospitalized after Warner Robins assault, vehicle hijacking with box cutter

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man is in stable condition following an assault and vehicle hijacking Monday morning, the Warner Robins Police Department said.
The incident occurred at 9:50 a.m. July 21 on Meadowdale Drive.
50-year-old Charlie Haslem was giving a ride to 25-year-old Tameisha Carter and 62-year-old Neal Speer when Carter allegedly attacked Haslem with a box cutter.
Haslem was able to pull the vehicle over at the location and escape from Carter. Speer then reportedly attacked Haslem with a stick, causing head and neck injuries. The Warner Robins Police Department confirmed that the victim and suspects were acquaintances.
Haslem was taken to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.
Officers responded to the scene and learned the vehicle was later found abandoned on South Pleasant Hill Road near Pleasant Hill Court. Witnesses reported the occupants ran into a residence at 110 S. Pleasant Hill Court.
Police secured the vehicle and residence. A search warrant was obtained, and Carter and Speer were taken into custody without incident.
Both face charges including aggravated assault, armed robbery, and motor vehicle hijacking.
