Man dies by lethal injection for 1992 murder

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bryan Terrell died by lethal injection early Wednesday morning around 1.

He was put to death for the 1992 robbery and murder of John Watson in Newton County.

He refused a final statement, and accepted a final prayer.

There have been 59 men and one woman put to death since Georgia reinstated the death penalty in 1973.

Johnson was the 37th to die by lethal injection.

There are now 76 men on death row in Georgia.
