Man Dies After Crashing Truck on Lower Poplar Street

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – One man is dead after police say he lost control of his truck and crashed on Lower Poplar Street. It happened around 3:30 Monday afternoon.

73-year-old Neil Williams died at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Macon Police say he experienced a “medical event” while driving into the parking lot of B&D Industrials.

He hit parked cars, a chain linked fence, then crashed into a ditch.

The accident is still under investigation.
