Man dead after car accident in Washington County

According to Georgia State Patrol, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash by the Washington County Coroner. 

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man is dead after a car accident on Thursday, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Georgia State Patrol, troopers were dispatched to a fatal crash involving a white Chevrolet Silverado and a pedestrian on GA 68 near Deep Cut Road in Washington County at 6:13 a.m.

The pedestrian was walking in the middle of the northbound lane of Georgia Highway 68. The pedestrian was wearing black jeans and a white t-shirt when he was struck by the front brush guard of the Silverado pickup truck.

The pedestrian has been identified as 32-year-old Nathaniel Brantley.

Brantley was pronounced deceased on scene of crash by the Washington County Coroner.
