Man confessed to South Macon shooting
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect who confessed to shooting a man on Monday afternoon in south Macon.
Deputies questioned 18-year-old Malcolm Darnell Houston after they responded to a shooting off of the 4300 block of Capital Avenue just before around 2pm.
Authorities say 32-year-old Leonard “Lenny” Spivey was shot in both legs. He was taken to a hospital where he is listed in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
It is believed that a male possibly involved in the incident had barricaded himself in one of the duplexes. A SWAT team responded to the scene and the man exited the duplex voluntarily without incident.
Houston is charged with aggravated assault and felony probation violation.
