Man charged with voluntary manslaughter after deadly argument in Hawkinsville
According to the GBI, deputies with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a home on Ruby Road in Hawkinsville around 5:15 a.m. on October 3.

HAWKINSVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man has been arrested and charged with voluntary manslaughter, according to a press release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
According to the GBI, deputies with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a home on Ruby Road in Hawkinsville around 5:15 a.m. on October 3. Upon arrival, deputies found a woman unresponsive in front of the home.
According to the press release, 67-year-old Herman Sewell and 26-year-old Allegra Sewell – both from Cleveland, Ohio – had an argument that led to a fight. At some point during the fight, deputies say Allegra became unresponsive.
Allegra was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead. The investigation is active and ongoing.
