Man charged in Macon gas station robbery

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man is now facing charges following a robbery at an East Macon gas station.

Bibb County Deputies say 43-year-old Ronald Goucher of Telfair County robbed the Citgo gas station on Shurling Drive around 6pm Tuesday.

Authorities say the suspect entered the store with a white towel around his face, dressed in all black, with a gun.

Deputies say he pointed his gun at the clerk, demanded money, and ran away.

Authorities say they caught the suspect following a brief chase.

The clerk was not hurt.
