Man Behind Bars For Cutting Two People

Tuesday night, Police arrested 44 year-old Alfred Degroat after they say he cut 2 people on the arm. It happened at the College Park Apartments in Macon around 9:30 pm.

According to a news release, Degroat was involved in an altercation with the victims. Victim 1 was cut on the left arm and may require surgery. Victim 2 was also cut on the left arm but did not sustain serious injuries.

Police say alcohol was involved.

Degroat is charged with aggravated assault, criminal damage to government property, and simple battery.
