Man Behind Bars for Aggravated Assault Outside Kroger

Macon Police arrest a man involved in an aggravated assault outside the Kroger on North Avenue. 30-year-old Mario Gerrard Douglas is behind bars, charged with aggravated assault with a gun.

Tuesday around 3:30am, a worker employed by an outside agency was cleaning the parking lot when he was approached by Douglas, who began arguing with him. He fired shots at the victim, grabbed his cleaning equipment, and ran off.

Police later found Douglas at the Masonic Lodge on Walnut Street.
