Man arrested in Macon apartment shooting

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon man was arrested for shooting a woman in the ankle.

20-year old Rashaad Treyvon Jones shot Teyanna Faith McCullen Thursday night around 10:45 p.m. at the Summit Apartments at 1187 Edna Place.

Bibb deputies say McCullen was at her child’s father’s house, 23-year old Benjamin Marselus Griggs and got into an argument with his new girlfriend, 21-year old Brandi Cleveland in the parking lot of the apartments. When McCullen got in her car, Jones fired multiple shots at her striking her in the ankle.

Two of McCullens’ friends and their kids were inside of the vehicle at the time of the incident. She was the only person injured.

She was taken to the Medical Center Navicent Health for treatment.

Jones is charged with six counts of aggravated assault, theft by receiving stolen property (the firearm used was stolen), and possession of firearm during commission of a felony.

No bond has been set.
