Man arrested for running over wife

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – One man is behind bars after an aggravated assault incident took place at the Sunoco gas station on Houston Avenue around 11:25 Monday morning.

Deputies say 49 year old Alfrado Hester allegedly hit his wife, 37 year Angela Hester, with his car from behind as she was walking and drove off.

According to a news release, she was found lying near the entrance of the gas station with a head injury. Mrs. Hester was then transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia where she is listed in critical condition.

Police later found Mr. Hester with the assistance of the Jones County Sheriff’s Deputies in Jones County. He was taken to the Bibb Sheriff’s Criminal Investigative Division for questioning and then taken to the Bibb LEC.

Alfrado Hester is charged with criminal attempt to commit murder.
