Man Arrested for Discharging Firearm on New Year’s Eve

A Macon man who celebrated the new year by firing gunshots in the air was arrested.

Friday night officers responded to several calls on Ponce De Leon Circle of a weapon being fired.  When police arrived on the scene authorities say, they found 53 year old Jean Barker with a shotgun in his hand.  Barker was arrested and charged with discharging a firearm within city limits.  Barker was released on bail from the Bibb county L-E-C.
