Man arrested for credit card fraud operation in Monroe County

Investigators found a stolen firearm, marijuana, approximately 30 credit cards with different victims’ information, and a card reader used to rewrite the information on the cards.

MONROE COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man has been arrested for theft and faces additional charges, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

On December 3, Monroe County Sheriff’s Investigators received a notification that a package fraudulently purchased using the personal information of a Monroe County resident was being delivered to an address on Victorian Blvd in Forsyth.

According to a media release, investigators made contact with a resident at the address and retrieved the package. Investigators secured the residence and obtained a search warrant.

Zyaire Small was arrested and is being held without bond at the Monroe County Jail. Small is charged with theft by receiving for the stolen firearm and possession of marijuana. More charges are expected for the fraudulent credit card operation.
