Man arrested for commercial burglary, vandalism on Vineville Avenue in Macon

The incident happened just before 4 a.m. on March 8.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man was arrested for burglary and vandalism in Macon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened just before 4 a.m. on March 8. According to the news release, deputies responded to a report of vandalism inside the 3100 block of Vineville Avenue.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office spoke with witnesses that reported a man busting windows to multiple businesses. Deputies spotted the suspect with a long blunt object in hand near one of the businesses. The suspect was immediately apprehended without incident.

The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Justin James Sellers.

Deputies alter discovered that Sellers had made forced entry into two businesses and had removed property from inside. The stolen property was discovered nearby and returned.

Sellers was charged with two counts of burglary and eight counts of criminal damage to property. Sellers is currently being held without bond.
