Man arrested after stabbing neighbor with steak knife during argument in Macon, victim in stable condition

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A man was arrested for stabbing his neighbor with a steak knife on Saturday, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched to Millerfield Road on August 24 after 9 a.m. Deputies responded to an aggravated assault that occurred from an argument between neighbors that turned violent.
The suspect, Frank Byron, stabbed the victim with a steak knife during an argument inside his home and then threw the knife into a field beside his house.
The victim collapsed in the front yard and was transported to Atrium Navicent Healthcare. The victim has been identified as a 45-year-old male. According to medical staff, the victim was reported in stable condition.
Deputies recovered the knife used in the attack in the neighboring field. Byron was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center without incident.
Byron was charged with aggravated assault. His bond was denied.
