Man arrested after shots fired reported near Mercer University Drive

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of shots fired near Mercer University Drive on Friday morning and made an arrest in connection with the incident, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to the area just before 9 a.m. on June 26. The sheriff’s office said an arrest has been made, but the suspect’s name and charges have not yet been released.
41NBC was on the scene near 3184 Mercer University Drive, where five Bibb County Sheriff’s Office vehicles were present.
41NBC witnessed deputies detain and arrest one individual. As deputies took the person into custody, several deputies had their firearms drawn.
