Malik Herring Hosts Fourth Annual ‘Fun Day’ on Saturday
The fourth annual event sponsored by the Malik Herring Foundation will feature live music, food, and family entertainment

FORSYTH, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman and Mary Persons High School alum Malik Herring will return to his hometown this weekend to host the fourth annual Malik Herring Fun Day at the Monroe County Recreation Department.
Fresh off mandatory minicamp in Missouri, Herring is taking a break from his offseason training to spend a Saturday afternoon giving back to the community that raised him. The free event, held at Pavilion No. 1, will serve families from across the middle Georgia area for a day packed with food, games, and summer fun.
Joining Herring is special guest Desmond “Dee” Williams — a New York Giants cornerback and fellow Mary Persons Bulldogs standout himself.
The Fun Day features something for everyone, including a waterslide, bounce house, face painting, adult water volleyball, and music from a live DJ. Families will also enjoy food and drinks throughout the event, which will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The annual celebration, organized by the Malik Herring Foundation, aims to give kids a safe and exciting way to kick off the summer while connecting with role models who once walked the same halls and played on the same fields in Forsyth.
