Malcolm Mitchell reads his new book to students at Vineville Academy of the Arts

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Malcolm Mitchell, a former member of the New England Patriots and University of Georgia football team, visited Vineville Academy of the Arts on Monday to read his new book, “My Very Favorite Book in the Whole Wide World.”

The children were thrilled to have him, and Mitchell was excited to share his latest work with them.

During his visit, Mitchell spoke about the importance of reading and how it has impacted his life. The book is near and dear to Mitchell’s heart, as it reflects his struggles and the lessons he learned along the way.

“I wanted to write a story that talked about a child struggling to read,” he said. “But overcoming that challenge to the point at which they start writing books themselves.”
