Make Music Day Macon set for this week

Gloria Stanley, Founder of Make Music Day in Macon, brought the celebration to Macon in 2017.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Make Music Day Macon is hosting “Green Eggs and Ham Summer Vibes Jam” on June 21.

Make Music Day began in 1982 in France and is celebrated around the world. Gloria Stanley, Founder of Make Music Day in Macon, brought the celebration to Macon in 2017.

Stanley said this year will be bigger and better than past years. There will be three events this year to celebrate Make Music Day Macon:

  • Summer Vibes Make Music Day Kick-off and Awards Celebration at 12 p.m. (First Baptist Church, 595 New Street)
  • Summer Vibes Green Eggs & Ham “Open Mic” Jam at 3 p.m. (Middle Georgia Regional Library – Riverside Branch Library, 110 Holiday Drive N.)
  • Summer Vibes Make Music Day “Open Mic” at the Douglass Theatre at 6:30 p.m. (355 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd)

The event is free and open to the public.
