Macon’s unemployment rate falls for December

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The unemployment rate for Macon fell from 6.9 in November to 6.8 in December.

According to the Georgia Department of Labor the the number in jobs in Macon reduced to 100,900.

Most of the job growth came from in professional and business services, education and health services, leisure and hospitality, and financial services.

Georgia has been in the top 10 states for job creation since October 2012.
