Macon’s Burke Mansion to host first overnight ghost hunt experience
The exclusive event will be held October 3, and will allow guests to spend the night in the 1887-built mansion while participating in an immersive paranormal investigation.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Visit Macon and the Macon Beyond team are hosting an overnight ghost hunt at one of the city’s most historic landmarks, the Burke Mansion, according to Visit Macon.
The exclusive event will be held October 3, and will allow guests to spend the night in the 1887-built mansion while participating in an immersive paranormal investigation.
The ghost hunt will be hosted by actress and producer Carrie Genzel, known for her roles in “The Walking Dead,” “Supernatural,” “Jennifer’s Body” and other horror films and series. She will be joined by spiritual medium Morrighan Lynne and paranormal investigator Jonathan Morgan.
The evening begins with a reception featuring wine, signature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a guided paranormal investigation through the mansion’s most storied spaces. Guests will also receive tickets to Rock Candy Tours’ Macon Macabre Walking Tour.
“This team has had so much fun exploring the most requested sites in Macon for legends and lore in our video series,” Genzel said. “I have been fascinated with the unexplained, and have had numerous encounters. Moving to Macon sparked my passion for exploring the city’s haunted sites and interacting with its supernatural inhabitants.”
Two ticket options are available:
-
