Macon Woman Shoots Man Robbing Her Home

A Macon woman who walked in on someone robbing her home, shot him several times in his leg and foot last night. He’s now recovering in the hospital.

It happened on Bayne Street Sunday around 7pm.

Police say the male was gathering items to steal.  He’s going to be charged with burglary and taken to jail, once he’s released from the hospital. 

The case remains under investigation.  Authorities are not releasing his name, pending verification that he won’t be charged as a juvenile.
