Macon Woman Shoots Intruder

A Macon woman catches a burglar in the act and shoots the intruder, sending him to the hospital.

The woman walked in her home on Bayne Street Sunday evening and found 17 year-old Michael Ballard stealing her things. She shot Ballard several times and then called police.

The suspect was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the Medical Center.

Ballard  is charged with burglary and being held at the Bibb County LEC.
