Macon woman dies after September hit-and-run moped crash
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A Macon woman died following a September hit-and-run crash on her moped.
Bibb Coroner Leon Jones identified the woman as 59-year-old Pamela Gunnels.
Jones says the Gunnels died Wednesday night at Medical Center Navicent Health from multiple blunt force trauma.
Jones says the Sept. 14 crash happened on Lynmore Avenue near Desoto Drive. Gunnels traveled west when a car going east hit her and fled the scene.
Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for the following vehicle connected with a “red Toyota with damage to the front end and possibly the driver side.”
