Macon Woman Dies After Crashing Car into Telephone Pole
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon woman is dead after driving her car into a telephone pole Monday night.
According to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones, 66-year-old Dorothy Hardy was driving a 1990 Mercedes E-320 on the 2200 block of Vineville Avenue when she hit the pole a little after 11 p.m. Jones says she was just a few blocks away from her home.
Hardy was pronounced dead at 12:01 a.m. from injuries.
Macon police spokesperson Jami Gaudet says Hardy had recently undergone a medical procedure and was on her way to the hospital to seek additional medical treatment. It is believed the accident was health related.
