The ‘Ride Forever’ transit card is for fixed route buses only. Veterans can enroll in the free initiative by visiting the Terminal Station office in Downtown Macon at 200 Cherry Street. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Veterans must provide one of the following forms of identification:

  • Veteran ID card
  • Driver’s License indicating military service
  • DD214 card
  • DD215 card

Veterans will be issued their transit card on the spot. The ‘Ride Forever’ cards are sponsored by AARP of Georgia. Replacement cards are $5 if lost.

MTA president/CEO Craig Ross says,

“For the fifth year, the Macon-Bibb County Transit Authority is proud to offer RIDE FOREVER, to our local veterans. This is our way of thanking and honoring them for protecting our democracy and the freedoms we enjoy. MTA is pleased to partner with AARP of Georgia which supplies the cards.
