Macon TD Club named their players of the week for Week 8 Monday

MACON, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – The Macon Touchdown Club Players of the Week for Week 8 are:

Back of the Week: Jaivon Solomon, Senior Wide Receiver/Kick Returner for Jones County. Jaivon had 6 receptions for 126 yards, 3 receiving touchdowns. He returned a 94 yard kickoff for a touchdown. On the night, he accounted for 220 yards and 4 touchdowns in his team’s 47-26 win over McDonough.

Back of the Week: Nick Woodford, Senior Running Back, Northeast.  Woodford had 20 rushes for 218 yards and 3 touchdowns as well as a 40-yard reception for a touchdown. On the night, Woodford totaled 258 yards and 4 touchdowns in his team’s 33-30 win over Bleckley County.

Lineman of the Week: Santana Balkcom, Senior Linebacker from Northeast.  Balkcom accounted for 13 tackles, and 2 tackles for loss, for a total of 15 tackles on the night, plus a pass break up, in his team’s 33-30 win over Bleckley County.
