Macon Touchdown Club Honors Week 5 Standouts
The Macon Touchdown Club honored the Week 5 Players of the Week Monday night

MACON, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – After a jam-packed week five of high school football, the Macon Touchdown Club recognized the area’s top performers.
The Back of the Week honor went to Windsor Academy senior quarterback Dawson Sims, who went 17 of 28 for 273 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing nine times for 47 yards and a score in the Knights’ 50-35 loss to Trinity Christian.
The Lineman of the Week was awarded to Rutland senior defensive end Jonah Johnson, who tallied 12 tackles, four for loss, and one sack in the Hurricanes’ 23-12 loss to Hawkinsville.
The Special Teams Player of the Week went to Jones County senior safety Andre Hall, who recorded several tackles and blocked a punt in the Greyhounds’ 42-3 win over Union Grove.
Both Jones County head coach Justin Montgomery and Rutland head coach Anthony Williams spoke on their teams’ progress this season.
The night’s special guest speaker was Florida A&M second-year head coach James Colzie III. Under Colzie’s leadership, the Rattlers are 41-2 and feature 14 players from Georgia, including Wilkinson County alum Ashton Grable and Central graduate Jalik Thomas.
